Amy has over 9 years’ experience in various forms of town planning including the management of development applications, development assessment, expert court witness work and due diligence.

In recent years Amy’s primary role at Reel Planning has been to coordinate and assist in the company’s expert witness services for both public and private sector clients in all aspects of proceedings in the Planning and Environment Court, Land Court, Supreme Court and Federal Courts. The range of Court matters she has been involved in varies extensively and includes: submitter and applicant appeals, land resumptions, contract disputes, property settlements, valuation disputes and compliance matters for a variety of development projects. Such projects in include multiple dwellings, residential subdivisions, shopping centres, advertising signs, rural industries, places of worship, community facilities and commercial developments. Amy has benefitted immensely from this knowledge and experience in an assisting role to become directly nominated as a town planning expert witness in a number of matters since the latter half of 2015.

Amy also continues to be involved in managing development applications, particularly complex applications. She has managed applications across Queensland for a large variety of developments including industry, education purposes, residential and commercial developments.

Amy prides herself on her ability to successfully coordinate development applications, her understanding of the intricacies of town planning legislation and her thorough and comprehensive approach to complex projects.
